Indian Art and Modernism
This is a series of six documentaries of 23 mins each made in the early 90s was directed by the famous E. Alkazi, well-known Theatre Director and Patron of the visual arts. The series traces the evolution of the contemporary art scene from the late 19th century till today with two episodes devoted to the beginning and culminating in the contemporary scenario. Four episodes are devoted to Rabindra Nath Tagore, Amrita Shergil, Francis Newton Souza and M. F. Husain, respectively. |
